Nestled at the heart of the machine is the rotating cylinder mould which is a drum mesh that is dipped in the paper synthesizing vat of slurry pulp. The drum slush tumbles and as such, the slurry slurry gets lifted from the vat. With time, a web of semi-dry paper starts forming around the length of the drum. Each time the device rotates, it captures fibers of the paper slurry and where deposited as tiny webs. Overtime and upon completion of the process, the final paper produced has a strong, textured and uniformly smooth fabric-like finish.

The cylinder mould works alongside with the cylinder box former container filled with the paper slurry. Built on these boxes is a pulp pour system which tends to the needs of the bypassing and outflowing pulp to the container. These standard boxes have industrial round holes of different widths and lengths supporting an expanded and advanced economy system for defined specifications and lower grade paper. When the semi-dry web of paper is fully formed, the drum tumbles around a felt sheet that picks the web of edges. Without papers being fed in slow motion, the fate of the edges becoming torn is highly likely due to the precision needed during the transfer.

Wet end includes the cylinder mould and water tank where initial paper sheet formation takes place, as well as systems that control slurry.
